Curriculum First Learning Platform
Student centered and built for the
modern international school!
Our Beginning & Understanding
The Role of Systems
January 30, 2011
Last weekend over coffee, we were reading the IB’s new standards and practices, which were published in January 2011. This document lists out the requirements that schools work towards during implementation and day-to-day management.
We have a habit of reading things backwards, and in the glossary, one of the definitions caught our eye. This definition makes sense, and it is very clear that pedagogical leadership requires effective management; however, the implicit assumption is that there are resources, systems and structures in place with which to manage.
For the School as an Institution
Turnkey systems together with integrations, which enable a school to implement its chosen curricula effectively and reliably in accordance with Programme Standards & Practices.
Integrating key workflows in a seamless interface for staff across coordination, curriculum planning, assessment & reporting and attendance.
The ‘best-practice’ process & workflows built on top of a turnkey curriculum and assessment architecture with pre-built subject-specific aims & objectives, assessment criteria and reporting.
Continuously improving with new features and integrations added every week, ManageBac’s improvements have been driven by feedback from its community of international schools.
For the International Student
Managing deadlines and staying on track with a bird’s eye view of the next 2 weeks across all subjects. Thinking about the ‘Big Picture’ and planning for the future with Goals & Reflections.
Everything in its right place. Portfolios are built up over the student lifecycle with categorisation by subject and time and seamless drag’n’drop e-Submission for external assessment.
All the basics: submit coursework, view grades, assessments, and report cards. Plus set personal target grades, browse the curriculum plan and prepare for online exams.
Keep a bookshelf, organise reading lists, and share book recommendations.
