Key Improvements
1. Real-Time Google Resource UploadsUsers can now access live, real-time Google documents alongside a static PDF for archival purposes. The "Update PDF" option allows for easy refreshes, keeping both dynamic and historical records intact. This update ensures that the most current version is always available, enhancing collaboration.
2. Unified Google Upload UIWe’ve standardised the Google upload interface, ensuring consistent icons and terminology across all pages. This creates a more intuitive experience for uploading files to task templates, portfolios, and coursework, making navigation simpler for all users.
3. Shared Drive Support for Task TemplatesWith the new Shared Drive support, teachers and students can easily share Google Docs through Shared Drives, streamlining permissions management and improving collaboration across teams. This removes the need for manual sharing, making resource access more efficient. To enable this, schools must complete the following configuration: Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Partners > Google Docs, ensuring that the "Enable sharing" checkbox is selected, and "Full access" to all folders is granted for Google Drive access.
4. Expanded Google Drive Upload SupportGoogle Drive uploads are now supported in more areas, including portfolios, CAS reflections, and events. This update eliminates the need for downloading and re-uploading files, making workflows faster and reducing unnecessary steps.
5. Improved Student Experience with Google DocsWe’ve removed the Google iFrame, allowing students to open Google Docs directly in Google’s platform. This results in a smoother, faster experience for coursework submissions and document collaboration, enhancing usability.
